The Salo team is excited to welcome our newest leadership team member: James Pierce. As Salo’s chief information officer (CIO), James will lead Salo’s IT team and technology strategy.
With more than 30 years of business and technology leadership experience, James will help Salo use technology to fuel Salo’s growth, expansion, and the ongoing evolution of Salo’s people-focused culture.
“James has significant expertise in using technology to create interesting solutions as well as amazing experiences for customers and internal teams,” said Salo CEO Lisa Brezonik. “He’s exactly the right leader to expand and grow business technology for Salo and our clients.”
Before Salo, James spent his career at Cargill, where he was most recently the business development leader for Cargill Health Technology. His previous positions included CIO for Cargill Premix Nutrition and global infrastructure leader in IT responsible for customer service, service delivery, and business transformation.
Outside of work, involved with JDRF of Minnesota, an organization focused on finding a cure for Type 1 diabetes. James is also an elected City Council member in Edina, Minnesota. Finally, James is a talented musician who enjoys singing, playing saxophone, and playing piano. In his spare time, he uses his vocal talents to record voiceovers for videos and commercials. He also loves spending time around his pellet smoker—meticulously nursing ribs, pork shoulder, or brisket. He lives in Edina, Minnesota with his wife, Stephanie, and three daughters.
