Amy Langer, Co-Founder of Salo, has been named a 2009 Enterprising Women of the Year Award Winner. Langer is active in both the Women Presidents’ Organization and Women Corporate Directors. She also serves on a number of boards, including the Washburn Center for Children and Lake Country School Boards.
For seven years, the Enterprising Women of the Year Award has honored the country’s finest women entrepreneurs and their remarkable success. Presented by Enterprising Women Magazine, the award also recognizes winners as leaders who have mentored and given back to other women in business, and have had a profound impact on their community. Award recipients will be honored at a gala dinner on Thursday, March 12th at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort in Orlando, Florida as part of a three-day celebration held in their honor.
“Our award honorees are accomplished entrepreneurs who have earned the respect and admiration of their communities,” Monica Smiley, publisher and CEO of Enterprising Women Magazine, said. “This award is a testament to each woman’s remarkable accomplishments and we are proud to honor their business success. Every award winner is the president or CEO of a fast-growth company that has gone above and beyond to become a role model for other women in business.”
“I am honored to be selected a winner of the 2009 Enterprising Women of the Year Award,” said Langer. “Women business leaders are a powerful force in the business world, and I am thrilled to be a part of such an influential group.”
