Salo 2011 Champion for Equality Award Winners

hr interim managerToday, the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota announced that Salo has been named the winner of the 2011 Champion for Equality Award. The Foundation presents the award annually to a Minnesota-based corporation or business for its commitment to moving gender equality forward for women in the workplace.

“Salo was the enthusiastic pick for this year’s award because of its commitment to building and nurturing women’s leadership through its policies and practices, which include generous benefits, a flexible operating philosophy, and innovative work environment,” said Lee Roper-Batker, Foundation president and CEO. “This company is blazing a trail for women’s equality in the workplace that we hope others will follow.”

The Women’s Foundation of Minnesota is a statewide community foundation that invests in social change to achieve equality for all women and girls in Minnesota. The Foundation funds innovative social change programs, builds women’s philanthropy, conducts and reports research, advocates public policy, and educates the public about the successes and challenges of Minnesota’s women and girls.
