Show up with pride

To show up with PRIDE means to live authentically and visibly. Pride speaks to our confidence, love, self-exploration, and inspiration. It is about joy and progress, but also about acknowledging the socioeconomic, emotional, and mental toll of needing to continuously fight to be seen with humanity.

How do you show up with Pride?

Show up with Advocacy

Advocacy is about standing up for ourselves and one another. To advocate is to take action—large or small—to elevate the voices of everyone. Advocacy means showing up for those who are not "in the room," taking a stand for progress, and persisting in the face of challenges.

Show up with Connectivity

Our connection to self and others is a huge part of our identities, societies and cultures. In the workplace, connection to others is how we accomplish our goals. At Korn Ferry our entrepreneurial culture and our key values highlight the importance of relationships and networks. One key aspect to be inclusive of the LGBTQ+ community is to have intentionality around creating safe spaces.

Show up with Visibility

Visibility looks different for everyone in the LGBTQ+ community. Being out and highly visible is important to and for progress, but it’s not always possible or desired for a variety of reasons—safety, comfort, life circumstances, etc. For those practicing allyship, showing up with visibility means attending Pride events, adding your pronouns to your Zoom profile, or listing your pronouns in your email signature. There are many ways to show the visibility of the community without being a part of the community.
